Rates and Payments

All rates are in Canadian dollars and are based on a two to four person occupancy. Surcharge applies for more than 4 persons. Maximum occupancy is 6 persons. Rates below are effective immediately and apply only to the time periods named in each rate category. Rates are subject to change. Please verify by phone or by email.

PEAK SEASON   


May 15th, 2012 until October 12th, 2012

and December 14th - January 13th, 2013  

 

Weekly (7 nights) $1800 CDN

5 Night Minimum $1495 CDN

Additional nights, are pro-rated & based on the weekly rate.

The extra person surcharge in peak season is $35 per night/$225 per week.

***Confirm your 2012 peak season booking (by paying the required deposit) before the end of February, 2012 and get a 5% discount off your total stay but not in combination with other specials, discounts or promotions.

LOW SEASON

October 13th, 2012 until December 13th, 2012

and January 4th, 2013 until May 19th, 2013 


$975  per 7 night week*(some additional restrictions apply)

$800 - 5 night minimum stay

The extra person surcharge in low season is $30


Please ask. See below regarding possible longer term winter rentals during Low Season.


The lower level of the cottage is not normally included in low season rentals and it may also not be available during some shoulder season bookings - please ask.  When not available, it is simply locked but guests may still use the lower level deck, the soaker tub, etc.   There will be a small gas (for heating) levy during any low season booking and it will be based on the amount you have used. Discounts advertised on this site and elsewhere do not apply to low season rentals.


SPECIALS, DISCOUNTS AND PACKAGES

A discount of $100 CDN per week is available for couples (or other parties of 2 persons) wishing to rent only the sleeping loft and the main level during peak or shoulder seasons, in which case the lower level will be locked/empty.  You will still be the only people on the property.

This discount applies only to stays of one full week or more and it does not apply to low season bookings.

For stays (only) during May, June, September and October, a return guest discount of 10% -- ask for details /minimum stay policies apply

If you are staying 3 weeks or more during the peak season, we will discount your weekly rate by 15%.


Payment

Payment may be made by paypal, by cashier's check or bank draft; or by personal cheque or email transfer if you are using a Canadian bank account.  If transfering funds from Europe, please ask for specific instructions when confirming reservation or availabilities.  At the time of booking a rental deposit of $800 CDN is required to confirm & hold the booking and once the booking is held for you, all Kingfisher Cove policies, on this web site and in our contract,  apply.  Along with this rental deposit, we require the damage deposit of $375 in the form of a cheque, cash, email transfer, direct deposit* or as arranged by the owner with you on the phone or in emails.   The remaining balance of the rental is due 6 weeks before the beginning of the rental period.  All minimum stays, regardless of season, must be paid in full at the time of booking. Personal cheques will be accepted for the balance due but only if written on a Canadian bank account and only if dated and received by us 7 days prior to the usual due date - eg. instead of 6 weeks in advance, personal cheques are due 7 weeks prior to the first day of your booking. The cheque(s) must be received on or before the earlier due date and dated not later than the due date. Cashier's cheques should be made payable to Mariette West with Kingfisher Cove noted on the memo line; and sent by courier or posted by Global Priority Post or Express Post.   $USD are accepted and we will give you the same exchange rate our bank gives us for on the day we deposit the funds. Please also see below re damage/security deposit, due with the final balance of the rental.  All items posted to Kingfisher Cove  should  be posted to:

*Direct deposits -- you will be instructed over the phone if you wish to do a direct deposit -- account information is not given out but if you are able to go into a branch of our bank, the teller, with appropriate instructions from us, will allow you to make a deposit.
