Check in: individually determined by mutual agreement and depending on the ferry schedules for both the renter and the owners but most often it is important to arrive on the island by try and arrive on the islandby 12:30 or 1 p.m.

Check out: 10:30 a.m.

Checkin is individually arranged with each rental party as ferry schedules vary depending on the day of the week. In order for us to leave the island after completing your orientation and getting things ready we must make advance ferry reservations and be at the ferry before cut off time, 40 minutes in advance of departure. Therefore, it is very important that both parties are clear and cooperative about the arrangements for meeting at the cottage. It is important that you reserve your spot on the ferry and let us know your arrival plans as soon as possible and preferably consult with us before reserving. Please remember to bring the cottage our cell phone number with you and stick with arrangements made as closely as possible. We will give you our cell phone number, along with your copy of the signed contract. Orientation usually takes about one hour and driving time for you to get to the cottage (10 - 15 mins) and for us to get to the ferry (10 - 15 mins) may thus total 30 minutes or more, depending on the 'island' traffic and other factors. Ferry reservation rules require that reserved vehicles arrive at the terminal 40 minutes in advance. If you are not reserved, you should arrive earlier. 

Guests are asked to come directly to the cottage at the time of their ferry's arrival at Otter Bay, unless other arrangements have been made and clearly communicated.  If you stop to shop, it is likely that we will not be able to make it to our ferry before they give away our reservation.
